ReSPECT

This project is about how doctors and nurses talk to patients or their family about medical treatment if they get really ill.
ReSPECT
ReSPECT is a study about how doctors and nurses have conversations with a patient or a member of their family about medical treatments that might be considered in the future if their health gets seriously worse.

The study is led by the University of Warwick Medical School and the University of Leeds. It is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

We want to find out the views of members of the public about these types of discussions and the process of documenting them. The project works with adults who have a learning disability and/or are autistic.

There is a video about the project. To watch it, please click on the play button below.
