In September 2014 NHS England, NHS Confederation and NHS Employers asked to meet with CHANGE to talk about improving the employment situation for people with learning disabilities in the NHS.
After listening to CHANGE's proposals, they set up the NHS Learning Disability Employment Programme.
CHANGE has supported the NHS to:
• Employ people with learning disabilities
• Develop best practice guidance on employing people with learning disabilities
• Run events for employers in the NHS to learn about employing people with learning disabilities
