Heritage Project
CHANGE are working with organisations and people with lived experience of autism and/or learning disabilities in Leeds.

We are working to make an exhibition of the history of people who are autistic and/or have learning disabilities in Leeds.

An exhibition is where art, or things from history are displayed for everyone to see. This is normally in an art gallery or museum.

Looking at the past is important, but we want to celebrate the people of today too!

If you are autistic and/or have a learning disability and live in Leeds, we would like to hear from you.

We want to know:

- Something you have achieved or something that should be celebrated.

- If you are in paid work or you volunteer, and what the experience is like.

- What you think would make Leeds better for people who are autistic and/or have a learning disability.

If you would like to share your story with us, please contact the CHANGE team:

- Email at: info@changepeople.org

- Phone at: 0113 244 0606 and ask to speak to a CHANGE project worker.

Steering Group

We are also looking for people to join the project’s Steering Group. If you are autistic and/or have a learning disability, live in Leeds and are interested in this project, then we would like to hear from you.

We need your help to plan the exhibition. Please contact use by using the email address or phone number further up this page and we will help you to join the Steering Group.

This work is funded by a grant from the Leeds Civic Trust Community Heritage Fund, part of Leeds Community Foundation.
