Co-working is where a person with a learning disability co-works on the same project getting paid the same pay and working the same days as their non-disabled co-worker.
CHANGE was the first organisation to employ people with learning disabilities on a co-working model. CHANGE was also the first organisation to make easy read for people with learning disabilities.
Catherine has a learning disability and is the lead trainer at CHANGE. Ana is a Project Worker at CHANGE. They are working on a research project creating peer-to-peer support worker roles for people with learning disabilities in care organisations.
CHANGE is inviting advocacy groups to join a Skype conversation about employment and employment issues for people with learning disabilities.
